2023 Boys Powerlifting Season in Review

The 2023 Boys powerlifting team is concluding a great season that included a lot of growth in not only participation but in success. The boys team had 15 regional qualifiers this season compared to just 6 a season ago. 13 of our 15 regional qualifiers maintained or improved their regional rankings. We finished the meet tied for 8th place as a team. The boys team also broke 8 school records and 1 regional record on Saturday March 11th at the Region 1 Division 1 meet in Abilene. We also qualified 2 lifters for the state meet that will be held in Abilene on March 25th at the Expo Center.

Barrett Smith is currently ranked #23 in the state in his weight class

Karson Daniel is making his second trip to the state meet and is ranked #4 in the state
