Winning a game in three innings for the second straight day, the Booneville Lady Bearcats made quick work of Danville, clobbering the Lady Little Johns 19-1 Tuesday.
Danville actually started the game with a triple and took a 1-0 lead on a RBI groundout but the Lady Bearcats scored six times in the bottom of the inning, then 13 in the second.
Two walks and a hit batter loaded the bases in the bottom of the first and Lexi Franklin singled home two to give the Lady Bearcats (5-2, 3-1 Conference 3A-4) the lead.
Kylie Lunsford drew a bases loaded walk for a third run and Shelbie Myers drove in a fourth with a ground out.
A Lyddia Franklin single got another run and one more scored on a passed ball while Layla Byrum was being walked.
An eight walk second inning was accompanied by an error and a half dozen hits and the Lady Bearcats were up 19-1.
The only Lady Bearcat with multiple hits, Lexi Franklin, playing third while Emily Suttles (shown) picked up the win in the circle, was 3-for-3 with three RBI. Lunsford and Myers also drove in three. Byrum had a two RBI day.
The Lady Bearcats are scheduled to visit Mayflower Thursday, Two Rivers Friday, and host the Raymond Turner Memorial on Saturday.
