Once again we started the night with a C team Scrimmage. Coach Sieb and Coach Barley were once again squared off. Coach Sieb’s team jumped out to a quick 15-4 lead at halftime. However, Coach Barley’s team was not going to go out without a fight and climbed back in the game scoring 7 straight points between the 3rd and 4th quarter. However, Coach Sieb’s team was able to hold off and come away with a 21-11 win! The players of the game goes to Callie Dishaw with her outstanding defense and hustle and Zoe Harriosn with her relentless defense.
Next up were the B teams and North came out on fire! Holding Fossil Hill to 0 points in the first half! North did not let up in the second half and came away with an impressive 32-2 victory! Player of the game goes to Anna Cristina Phillips with her great defense, amazing passes and a team high 6 points!
Last up were the A teams! North jumped out quickly taking a 32-4 lead into halftime and never looked back! North ended the night with a sweep of Fossil Hill winning 44-15! Player of the game goes to Laundry Koski-Barger with a team high 12 points and just an all around amazing game!
Once again your 7th grade teams were on the road- all the way to Fossil Hill middle school! Your North Cougars were prepared to jump right on the court and get started. In the first half, the C team was leading 14-0, not allowing the other team to keep the ball for very long! In the second half they continued their lead, winning 20-6! I am so proud of this team’s growth and basketball skills. C team player of the game this week goes to Parker Storey. Parker is a constant encourager and a great all the way around player. She was the top scorer this game- 6 points! Way to go Parker!
Next up were the B teams, ready to continue their winning streak. In the first half, your girls were leading 11-4. The Fossil Hill girls were fast, but your North Cougars were putting up a tough fight! In the second half, the B team continued their streak, winning 26-9! They played their toughest game of the season, but never stopped- and secured their 4th victory! B team player of the game was Anuva Ghildiyal. She found her confidence in basketball and absolutely rocked it!! She knew where she needed to be on the court, and led her team. Anuva had some incredible drives to the basket and was our top scorer- 7 points! Great job, Anuva.
Last up were the A teams, ready to finish a clean sweep against Fossil Hill! In the first half, your girls led 16-4 and played their hearts out! In the second half, they finished strong 29-8. It was an intense game! A team player of the game goes to Eraina Wilkins. Eraina learned how to use her height tonight and was a consistent rebounder under the basket. She is very teachable and an incredibly smart player. Proud of you Eraina! And, proud of the 7th grade basketball teams for being 11-0 this season!!
