The Weatherford Kangaroos improved to 3-0 Friday night with a come from behind victory over Burleson 54-52. The Roos were led by Melvin and Joseph Polk. Melvin had seven catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for 66 yards and another score as well as had a tackle on defense playing lots of coverage snaps. Joseph (Jojo) rushed the ball 30 times for 170 yards and three scores including the game winner with 10 seconds left. Quarterback CJ Thornton was 16/22 for 287 yards and two touchdowns throwing, he also ran for two scores. The Roos had over 500 yards of total offense on the night.

The Roos were down for a large part of the game but fought back for the win.

The Roos begin district next Friday night in Crowley.
