The Lady Roo softball team took on Chisholm Trail Tuesday night at Teacher Appreciation Night at the WHS softball complex, coming away with a 12-0, 5 inning run rule victory to improve to 17-8 overall and 9-2 in district. Lauren Belles got the win, going 3 innings while striking out 7 and allowing no hits or runs. Gabby Montanez came in and pitched 2 scoreless innings, striking out 4 and allowing only 2 hits and no runs. Grace Thompson led the offense going 2 for 2, scoring 2 runs and driving in a pair. Kayleigh Cassels reached base in all 4 of her plate appearances with 1 hit and 3 walks, scoring 2 runs and driving in 1. Morgan Skold had a double, and Kaylee Embrey also had 1 hit that plated 2 runs. The Lady Roos continue district play this Thursday night at 7 pm in a home game against Trinity.
