The Kangaroo Baseball team pushed their record to 14-4 and 5-1 in district with a big 5-1 win over the Paschal Panthers Friday night. Kannon Kemp got the win on the mound pitching very well going 6 2/3 innings allowing 1 run on 7 hits. Kemp struck out 6 Panthers before Grady Moore came on in relief to get the save. Moore faced one hitter, striking him out on 3 straight fastballs. Offensively the Roos had some timely at bats by Drew Ortiz, drawing a bases loaded walk in the first after fouling off several pitches and then getting a 2 out base hit to score 2 runs in the 5th. Dayton Tockey hit a loud home run in the 3rd inning and then later stole home on a 1st and 3rd play to score the 5th Kangaroo run. Trace Holcomb and Jake Williams had a good night at the plate with 2 hits each. Kemp and Colton McClure both had big hits on the night as well. The Roos will be back in action at 1st place Boswell on Tuesday night.
