The Lady Roo softball team opened District 3-6A play last night with a 15-0, 3 inning run rule victory over North Crowley. Lauren Belles picked up her 7th win of the year, allowing only 2 hits while striking out 5. Grace Thompson led the Lady Roos with 3 hits including a triple, 3 RBI, and 2 runs scored, while Kaylee Embrey (2 for 4, 3B, 3RBI), and Hannah Reed (2 for 3, 2B, 3B) also had multi hit games. Mikayla DeMichele, Landry Fonseca, Morgan Lemons, Kayleigh Cassels, Kendall Markum, and Gabby Montanez also contributed base hits. The Lady Roos return to action this Friday night at Boswell. The Lady Roo JV was also victorious with a 3 inning 15-1 win. They will play in the Mid-Cities JV tournament this Thursday and Saturday at Richland HS.
