The Varsity Roos Tennis team took on Trinity looking to clinch another playoff appearance. It took an extra day as Tuesday had a delay the Roos came back on Wednesday and got the job done. After the Roos dominated the Doubles portion taking a 5-2 lead the singles matches brought things a lot closer. Needing 5 singles wins The Roos were able to hold of the Trojans furious comeback with a 12-7 victory. Perla Suazo and Averi Breedlove for the girls and Michael Taylor for the boys sealed the deal winning their singles matches and getting the Roos to the magical number of 10 for the victory. Overall the Roos showed great resilience and patience as the weather played a factor and the matches were being hurried to try to finish before any other delays could take place. The win guarantees a 3rd place finish in district but we will be traveling to Chisholm Trail on Tuesday October 5th where both teams are playing for 2nd place. This season has been fantastic with lots of highs and lows but we are looking to end the regular season as high as we can. Some standouts for the match were Marissa Bosco and Michael Taylor coming from behind losing their first sets then winning in a tiebreak.
