Roos Team Tennis Dominates Brock/Loses close Match to Peaster

The Varsity Roos Tennis team hosted a Double Header against Brock and Peaster and came out with a split against the two teams. The day started great as the Roos dominated Brock 15-4 winning all but 2 Singles and 2 Doubles matches. Sweeping through the boys doubles and singles set the stage for a convincing win in the morning slate. The afternoon saw a little tougher results as the heat raised so did the competition. The Roos battled a very tough Peaster Greyhound team to the wire losing a close battle 10-9. The Doubles got the Roos going in the right direction as they held a 4-3 lead after the opening series. After winning some really tough singles matches the hot day saw some close matches go to Peaster helping to clinch the match in the next to last game of the day. The Roos have been playing really well lately winning 4 of the last 5 matches they have played. Austin Markwardt, Doubles Teams of Hailey Toten and Morgan Peterson, Cameron McLelland and Sam MacKenzie have gone 5-0 over the last 5 Tournaments. These athletes have helped set the stage for team success and we appreciate all they do. We will be starting District in less than a week and this momentum wave is right where we want to be.
