The Roo Varsity Tennis Team traveled to TCU to take on Arlington Heights for their 4th match of the season. The Team came out triumphant winning 13-7. The victory was the first on the year for the team as they showed well in both doubles and singles. The Doubles teams of Austin Markwardt/Trevor Craft, Ryan Rovnyak/Michael Taylor, Cameron McLelland/Sam Mackenzie/ Emma Melvin/Toni Canada, Morgan Peterson/Hailey Toten got us started for the tournament by winning their matches and helping take a 5-2 lead in to the singles side of things. In Singles The Boys Side swept their singles events and Emma and Avery Breedlove won their Singles Matches as well. The win was also the first win was also the first win for Coach Greg Gipson here at Weatherford ISD. We want to congratulate the entire team on their success and wish them luck this season as we will take the court again on Friday against Brewer High School at WHS starting around 1:00 PM.
