The Lady Roos hosted the L.D. Bell Lady Raiders Tuesday night and came away with a hard fought 3-2 victory. The Lady Roos were down 1-0 in the bottom of the 2nd when Hanna Bartels reached on an error, Kaylee Embrey doubled her home, and Peyton Contreras then tripled to drive in Kaylee. Bella Garcia had a fantastic 10 pitch at bat in the bottom of the 5th, hitting a HR on the 10th pitch to break a 2-2 tie and give the Lady Roos a lead they would hold on to for the remainder of the game. Lauren Belles went the distance to pick up her 19th win of the year, striking out 5. The Lady Roos are now 23-1-1 on the season and 12-1 in district play, tied for first. They will play their final district game on Friday at Haltom before beginning the playoffs next week, date and opponent still TBD. Playoff shirts will be available early next week.
