The Lady Roo softball team started off Spring Break with a bang, defeating Boswell in a 14-4 run rule victory in a matchup between top 5 area teams. Landry Fonseca and Addie Tidwell each had 3 hits on the night, while Morgan Skold, Bella Garcia, Kaylee Embrey, and Hanna Bartels all had 2 hits in the game. Morgan, Bella, Landry and Addie all had 2B, and Hannah Reed and Addie got the scoring started in the bottom of the 1st with back to back home runs as the Lady Roos scored in every inning but one, including an 8 run outburst in the 4th. Lauren Belles pitched 6 innings, striking out 7 and walking no one in picking up the win. The victory moved the Lady Roos to 13-0-1 on the season, and 2-0 in district play. Next games are Monday, March 15th at Paschal HS, JV at 1 and Var at 3, then Tuesday, March 16th, Varsity only at 6.
