The Kangaroo baseball team opened up the 2021 season with an 8-2 victory over the Saginaw Roughriders. Chase Akins did a great job on the mound pitching a complete game scattering 7 hits while striking out 2 to pick up the victory. It was a team effort at the plate with six Roos getting hits, Jake Williams, Landon Ellington, Trace Holcomb, Luke Bagwell, Kannon Kemp, and Preston Lunceford. Dawson Nelson had 2 RBI’s, scored 2 runs, and made several nice plays at his shortstop position. The Kangaroos were rained out in the second game vs Nacogdoches with a 1-0 lead in the 2nd inning. We will take on state ranked Dallas Jesuit at 11:00 and Midland Christian at 4:30 on Friday.
