The Varsity Boys basketball team traveled to LD Bell Tuesday December 22nd to tip off the District Season. The Roos started slow as the Blue Raiders took a dominating 1st half lead pressuring the Roos into multiple turnovers and fast break layups. The Roos would regroup at halftime and fight its way back and showed they were up to the challenge as they cut into the halftime deficit in the third on a 10-2 run to open the 3rd quarter. The Roos played with more poise and control as they limited their turnovers and quick plays in the second half. They forced the Blue Raiders into playing a more controlled half court game taking LD Bell out of its gameplan. The Roos fought hard till the very end and showed large signs of growth and potential over the entire game. The Roos will be off for the next 5 days and will return back to the court on Monday December 28th with a Non-District matchup when they Host the Glen Rose Tigers starting with the Freshman Team at 10:00 AM followed by the JV Team at 11:30 AM and the Varsity Team starting at 1:00 PM. They will return to District action when the Haltom Buffaloes travel to Weatherford on Saturday January 2nd.
